Option I: You need to verify your identity
Stripe requires identity verification, after which your account will be active. Until you upload an identity document (ID card, passport, driver’s license), you won’t be able to receive payments. You can verify your identity as follows:
- Go to Payments.
- In the Update your Business Information field, click the Update button.
- In the Identity Verification field, click the Upload Document button.
- Take a photo of a valid photo ID (photo ID card). Then click the Consent and Continue button.
- After this, you have several options: By scanning the QR code, you can continue the verification on your mobile device. By clicking the Other options button, additional methods are available for verification.
-
Stripe will use the selected device’s camera to take a photo of the identity document.
Option II: Incomplete company details
If company details are missing, Stripe may suspend access to the account. In this case, you need to provide the missing company information.
- Go to the Payments.
- Click the Company Details tab.
- Check the entered company data.
- If you need to make any changes, click the Edit button.
Option III: You haven’t accepted Stripe’s Terms of Service
It’s possible you haven’t completed the Stripe registration process, but your account was created – in this case, your account won’t show an error message, but you also won’t be able to receive payments.
- Open the following link: https://app.minup.io/admin/payments/start-online-payment
- Next to the Stripe option, click the Connect button.
- In the Let's setup your Stripe Account window, click the Let's start button.
- If you are logged into your Stripe account, the Review and Confirm window will appear, where you can see the company details you’ve already filled in. If this window doesn’t appear, enter the email address registered with Stripe.
- Review your details. If any information is missing, Stripe will notify you.
- Click the Consent and Confirm button.
